The Screwed Up Return

There was a minority of the class members returning to this week's tafe for Monday because I found out later that the majority of our lecturers had a training thing going on so that's why our first and second class lecturers didn't turn up, which made me a bit miffed, because I wanted to hand in both my PowerPoint presentation and 1000 word report to go with it to get the assignment over and done with. I found out about this as I walked off campus thanks to my second-session lecturer for Friday's class and from the remaining students' word of mouth. I went to the comic shop and virtually drained their back-issue supply of Star Wars Tales :P and checked up on my order (Rozen Maiden #1) and stopped over at the train station's newsagency to buy the latest issue of Time magazine before jumping on the train bound for Kelmscott. Basically, my Monday return in a nutshell :P

Absence De La Prison... Au Moins Pour Tandis Que

We were very lucky today, especially me because I got the majority of my work marked off for the second class with the same lecturer of the first class with my projects and all, and plus the holiday season (albeit a short one, mind you) starts for us tomorrow because of having no classes at all tomorrow, the Easter season coming and non-contact week for week 11 for hour whole class, yes!! I would be able to finish off a few things during the break and have a decent weeks' worth of rest for once instead of being in that rather blocky institution for five days with not much people to talk to because the majority keep to themselves, with isn't very nice in my opinion. During the holiday season I do hope to catch up with some friends of mine who I haven't seen much of lately because of different Tafe courses and campuses.

I Sense The Young One's Potential In Typography

It turns out that I had to redo the majority of my Typography work at Tafe today to experiment further; my lecturer said that my designs were either too playful (I swear that was an accident on my part) or too conservative (inspirational run-out, right there and then) which led him to whip out the old designs folder with examples of what I should try to do. I thought that what he was trying to really say to me about my fifteen designs on the alphabets "P" and "n" was "Alright, scrap the majority and let's start on a clean slate!" Not that I thought he was one of those people who were nice one minute and brutal critiquing bastard the next, because all that experimentation beeswax was after all for the good of myself and the assignment. He stuck with one of the fifteen designs of which he favored the most and wished me to explore and experiment on the poor thing by expanding, creating regular pattern rotations, zooming in and other techniques of which I've forgotten completely. I also had to put up with the fact that his mobile phone rang every few minutes in class during the Moment Of Criticizing One's Work of which he excused himself from class to speak to whoever was at the other end at the time, even the other students (Kayleen, Loren and Marcus) noticed it like a bad habit turned obsessive-compulsive. I remembered the lecturer saying something about getting a bad idea or something that doesn't work out of your system which kinda helps. I didn't bother to stay around for Mirek's class though because my stuff is due on week 12 and plus the presentations of other people would make me fall asleep or dizzy. The highlight of the day was looking at the notice board in my part of the campus and catching up with Chikins on the train on my way home.

Red Rooster Episode V: Die Grube von Scheiße

Now that was bad, really, really bad. Poor Russell got punished by ending up cleaning the Hidden Pit of Disgust and Revulsion thanks to The Manager. I remembered going through the place at least twice just to chuck rubbish in the Gigantic Metal Bin of Doom and then this smell hit me like a rock, no, boulder,to my head. The smell of what the hell was in there was sooo bad, the whole dark brown glop ended up with it's own distinct personality. I ended up labeling Russell an Untouchable due to his, er, work during the near-entirety of my shift :P and staying away from him literally (like everyone else) even though he had allegedly decontaminated himself afterwards. Even though the whole gruesome job was over, we could still smell that stench, which was like a spreading (or should I say, traveling?) smog of sorts. Now that whole pit shenanigans was the highlight of my day by just being a virtual witness. Oh, and by the way, The Tropical Pack Man is no longer a threat to me as I thought, because he has been quite nice to me :) All I have to watch out for now is The Grumpy Old Man and his Overweight And Chubby Relative from the Drive-thru From Hell and The Pack of Mixed Vehicles From Hell Coming En Masse.

Yep, that's what life is to me; a dodgy RPG, where I don't play the role of anyone else,
only me :P But then again, life is a game like the elders say :)

The Topsy Turvy Week?

This few days and last week has been like a see-saw for me for some strange reason; one moment I think something really bad will happen, only for it to completely go the other way around or the reverse. I recently got off from the cold, minus the still leaking nose *sigh* which bothers me during sleep and work when I'm trying to get orders from customers in both the front of the restaurant and drive-thru. Yesterday was the sending away of my childhood toys, which leaves me a little saddened by it because I had those toys for a long, looong time like you wouldn't believe because it's been a part of myself and when they got taken away, I felt that I had lost "that part" of me; the child part of me, anyway. Today was very topsy turvy for me too :P I was doing stuff real good at work, until my mind started to wander because of the want to rest because of the ravaging vestiges of the flu and because of the need to sleep in for the rest of the day after staying up late watching Godzilla: Final Wars and going to sleep at 1:05 am in the morning, which is getting to be a bad habit of mine.
